new (almost) favorite band
For the past month or so I’ve been obsessed with Gogol Bordello. If you don’t know who they are, you’re missing out. If you don’t think they’re the best band of the past 15 years, you’re wrong.

Gogol B has some fascinating lyrics in Russian. I first saw them a few years ago on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno on NBC. After that I collected about a dozen songs that I Really liked from places like iTunes and such. Not sure if you know they recorded a soundtrack for a movie called “Everything is illuminated”. I have not seen the movie but read the book :-) People say the book is better. I did like the book although it does not make for an easy read.
