yes & no

yes:
- having margaritas with friends
- finally *starting* to see the benefits of running
- http://www.physicsdiet.com
- surviving a game of baseball. it’s fun going on field trips anyway
- Ben coming back from Iraq next week

no:
- “it’s okay to be the boss”. finished it, but didn’t quite like it. the author assumes that managing restaurant waiters is the same as managing engineers. not that there’s anything wrong with being an engineer of course.
- not being able to run my server on my home laptop anymore
- in the 3rd millennium, almost 4th, still having to justify code coverage
- the wire (hbo). meh at best
- macbook pro battery not recharging at all, after a little over a year

programmers poor PR

Kathy Sierra is so fricken smart. She tweeted this today:

Programming has a PR problem: most non-coders don’t know how creative it can be to craft code. Best coders use both sides of the brain.
